FREquently asked questions

GENERAL

What makes your approach different?

I take a functional, root-cause approach to acne. Instead of focusing only on topical treatments or short-term fixes, I look at internal drivers like gut health, hormones, inflammation, and nutrient status. Every recommendation is designed to support long-term skin health—not just temporary clearing.

Do you treat or diagnose medical conditions?

No. I am not operating under a medical license in this setting and do not diagnose, treat, or prescribe. All recommendations are educational and based on functional wellness principles.

Is this only for acne?

Acne is the primary focus, but many of the same root causes can impact overall skin health, gut dysbiosis, inflammation, and hormonal balance.

GETTING STARTED

Where should I start?

If you’re unsure, start with The Skin Space. This gives you the foundation to understand your acne and next steps before investing in more advanced support.

What if I’ve already tried everything?

Most clients I work with feel this way. The difference is we’re not guessing—we’re looking at patterns, and when appropriate, using lab work to guide decisions.

THE SKIN SPACE

What is included in The Skin Space?

You’ll get access to foundational education, acne triggers, skincare guidance, and a structured way to start building your own protocol.

Is this a membership?

No. It’s a one-time purchase with lifetime access.

Will this clear my acne?

This is designed to give you clarity and direction. Some may see improvement, but this is not a personalized protocol.

The Acne Protocol

Who is this for?

This is best for someone who wants a structured plan but is not ready to invest in lab testing.

Is this personalized?

No. It is based on common patterns I see in practice from reviewing hundreds of lab panels for acne, but it is not customized to your individual labs.

How is this different from The Skin Space?

The Acne Protocol gives you a more structured, step-by-step plan to follow, while The Skin Space is more educational.

coaching

How do I know if coaching is right for me?

Coaching is designed for individuals who are ready to move beyond generic recommendations and receive personalized guidance. If you've been struggling with persistent symptoms, feel overwhelmed by conflicting information, or want a structured plan with support along the way, coaching may be a good fit.

What happens during the Enrollment Call?

The Enrollment Call is an opportunity for us to learn more about your health history, symptoms, goals, and previous experiences. Based on your unique situation, we'll determine whether coaching is the right fit and recommend the most appropriate level of support.

Do I need bloodwork before I apply?

No. You do not need existing bloodwork to apply for coaching. Testing recommendations will be discussed as part of your personalized strategy and may vary based on your symptoms, goals, and health history. Outside testing is not accepted.

How long does coaching last?

The length of coaching depends on your individual needs and the support plan recommended during enrollment. Because chronic symptoms often develop over time, meaningful progress typically requires a commitment to implementing recommendations consistently and allowing the body time to respond.

Will you diagnose or treat medical conditions?

Coaching is intended to provide education, guidance, and wellness-focused recommendations based on functional health principles. It is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. We encourage all clients to maintain a relationship with their primary healthcare provider and specialists as needed.

Support & Communication

Will I have direct access to you?

Direct messaging access is only available for private coaching clients.

How do I ask questions?

General questions: info@yourskincareexpert.com
The Acne Protocol: Office Hours
Coaching: Office Hours or Direct Message depending on your enrollment

Why are there communication boundaries?

Communication boundaries are in place to ensure you receive focused, high-quality support during your scheduled sessions. This structure allows your practitioner dedicated time to fully review your case, labs, and progress in a dedicated setting, rather than providing fragmented guidance across messages. This is consistent with how care is delivered in most clinical settings and helps keep communication organized, timely, and effective.

Policies

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the digital nature of these products and services, all sales are final.

Can you provide a letter of medical necessity?

No. I do not provide letters of medical necessity or documentation for insurance reimbursement. This is because I am not operating within an insurance-based or diagnostic medical model in this setting, and these types of documents require a formal diagnosis and ICD-10 coding. My services are provided from a functional wellness perspective and are designed to offer personalized guidance rather than medical documentation or advice.

Are supplements included?

No. Supplements and lab testing are purchased separately unless otherwise specified.

"I worried if I was doing the right thing by not following the derms advice for birth control and accutane."

As a mom, I truly questioned if I was making the right decision by not following the dermatologist’s recommendation for birth control and Accutane. There were moments I felt completely helpless, just waiting and hoping we were on the right path.
But today, Ella is healing—and I am so incredibly grateful we didn’t give up. Taking a root-cause approach made all the difference. I’m beyond thankful for the guidance, support, and answers we found along the way.
